Kudu Collective

Patrick Williams began his culinary career at the revered La Colombe in Cape Town, and on the picturesque Vergelegen wine estate. In 2015 he came to work with noted chef Robin Gill at The Manor in Clapham, followed by a two-year stint at Paradise Garage in Bethnal Green. Here he met Amy Corbin, who herself was deeply rooted in the hospitality industry thanks to the influence of her father, Chris Corbin.

Patrick Williams & Amy Corbin

Together, they conceived the Kudu Collective, launching their cornerstone restaurant, Kudu, in January 2018. The venture was met with enthusiasm, earning a Bib Gourmand in its first year for its fresh, modern interpretations of traditional South African dishes. Leveraging locally sourced and foraged ingredients, they crafted a menu that evolves with the seasons, offering something new to returning patrons.

Their passion for the industry fuelled further growth, leading to the inception of Curious Kudu, a versatile space functioning as both a private dining room and art gallery, and Kudu Grill, which found its home in a former Truman's pub on Nunhead Lane in 2021. Not stopping there, the collective extended its reach with Little Kudu, a cosy addition tucked under railway arches. Each establishment under the Kudu banner stands as a testament to Patrick and Amy's commitment to quality dining experiences that bridge the traditional with the contemporary.  Setting up and expanding in Peckham is also testament to the believe that excellent food and hospitality experience being part of daily life, in a local neighbourhood.
