Apricity

Apricity is in the middle of Mayfair’s luxury shops and facades but turns its back on the turbo-charged pursuit of fashions and novelty in fine dining for something more mindful and grounded, favouring seasonal, low-waste menus and supporting regenerative farming. Spearheaded by the acclaimed chef-patron, Chantelle Nicholson, Apricity is on a mission to foster an ecosystem and community, not just a restaurant.

Sustainability is the goal inside and outside the kitchen. The restaurant adopts and pioneers best practices in every facet — from waste reduction in its operations to championing locally sourced British produce. The menus change weekly, based on what is available from their local suppliers. The interiors were designed and implemented in a low-carbon way, using upcycled masonry, plants, and chairs made from reused Coke bottles. However, Nicholson also includes her staff in the vision, with an over 70% female workforce, natural light in the working kitchen, and Sunday and Monday off. 

2023 marked a milestone for both Nicholson and Apricity. Under her stewardship, the restaurant not only clinched a Michelin Green Star but also secured the 67th position among the top 100 restaurants and grabbed the 'Innovator of the Year' award at the National Restaurant Awards.
